Paynter Construction, Inc. ("Paynter Construction," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website paynterconstruction.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the Site or request an estimate, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) and the standards of the Better Business Bureau.

When you fill out the estimate request form, use the website chat, call, email, or text us, we may collect:

Like most websites, the Site uses cookies and similar technologies to understand how it is being used. Through Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity, and our website chat and customer-management platform, we may automatically collect:

• Your IP address and approximate location (city or region)

• The pages you visit, how long you stay, what you click, and the site that referred you
• Anonymized recordings and heatmaps of how visitors move around the Site (Microsoft Clarity)

We do not use this automatically collected information to identify you personally unless you also submit a form or start a chat.

Phone calls and text messages

When you give us your phone number, you agree that Paynter Construction may call or text you about your estimate request and your project, including automated appointment reminders and confirmations. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance. Opting out of texts does not affect your project or your ability to reach us by phone or email.

3. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it to anyone.

We share it only in these situations:

• Service providers that help us run the business. This includes our customer-management and messaging platform (used to store contact details, send texts and emails, and schedule appointments), website hosting, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity. These providers only use your information to provide services to us.
• Advertising platforms. If you arrived at the Site from one of our ads, the advertising platform (for example, Meta or Google) may receive information about your visit through its cookies or pixels so we can measure the results of that ad. We do not give them your name, phone number, or email from the estimate form.
• Legal reasons. If required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe it is necessary to protect the safety or rights of our customers, our team, or the public.
• Business transfers. If Paynter Construction is ever sold or merged, customer records may be transferred as part of that transaction. This policy would continue to apply to your information.

4. Cookies and your choices

You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when a cookie is being sent. Some features of the Site may not work correctly if cookies are disabled. Do Not Track. Our Site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, because there is no common industry standard for how to interpret them.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep estimate requests and customer records for as long as we need them to serve you, to keep accurate business and warranty records, and to meet our legal obligations as a licensed California contractor. Website analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the analytics provider.

6. How we protect your information

The Site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and the information you submit is stored with reputable providers that use industry-standard security. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

You can contact us at any time to:

• Ask what personal information we have about you
• Correct or update your information
• Ask us to delete your information, subject to any records we are required to keep
• Opt out of marketing emails or text messages

The Site may link to other websites, such as our Better Business Bureau profile, Google Maps, or manufacturer sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.

If we change this Privacy Policy, we will post the updated version on this page and change the effective date at the top.
